PADEL COLCHESTER
OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH PADEL UNITED COLCHESTER
In partnership with Padel United Colchester, Changing Lives Community Services is proud to offer inclusive padel tennis sessions for some of our community’s most underrepresented groups. Through this collaboration, we’re bringing one of the world’s fastest-growing sports to those who might otherwise face barriers to participation—including people on low incomes, young carers, and refugees or asylum seekers.
Padel Colchester is about more than sport—it’s about wellbeing, opportunity, and creating a sense of belonging. We believe everyone should have the chance to enjoy the benefits of physical activity, social connection, and new experiences, regardless of their background or circumstances.
What We Offer
🏓 Fun, Social Padel Sessions
Padel is an energetic, easy-to-learn racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. Our sessions are designed to be welcoming, informal, and enjoyable, whether you’re completely new to the sport or looking to develop your skills. We focus on fun, teamwork, and keeping active in a friendly environment.
🌍 Inclusive Access for Priority Groups
We work directly with individuals who are often excluded from mainstream sport—including low-income families, young carers juggling responsibilities at home, and refugees or asylum seekers adjusting to life in a new country. Padel offers them a space to unwind, connect with others, and feel included.
🧠 Boosting Wellbeing Through Activity
Physical activity is vital for both body and mind. Our sessions help reduce stress, improve mental health, and boost self-esteem—especially important for those facing economic hardship, caregiving stress, or social isolation.
🤝 Community Connection & Belonging
By creating a safe and supportive space, Padel Colchester helps participants build friendships, gain confidence, and feel part of something bigger. It’s about bringing people together through movement, laughter, and shared experience.
